The role will include various Accounting and administrative duties with the aim to develop and have more responsibility during your apprenticeship. The role will include some of the following areas:
- Performing general administrative duties including typing correspondence, minuting meetings, photocopying, filing, faxing, record keeping.
- Inputting data onto internal systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Engaging with clients – sending out documents/answering enquiries etc.
- Providing excellent customer services to our clients, through incoming and outgoing calls, emails, face to face meetings or by correspondence.
- Supporting the Accounts Manager and COFA with compliance with SRA Account Rules.
- Client money management: Maintaining accurate client account records and reconciliations in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Cash transactions: Supporting the Finance Team with daily processing of receipts and payments (both client account and office account) in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Processing receipts, sales invoices and purchase invoices.
- Bank reconciliation: Supporting the finance team with reconciliation – all bank accounts are reconciled at least monthly, with the main client account and office reconciled daily.
- SRA Accounts Rules audit: assist the Accounts Manager prepare documents and assist in annual SRA Accounts Rules audit including working with external auditors
- Client billing: reviewing and posting bills for legal fees; preparing and posting bills for administration and business charges.
- Ensuring that accounts are accurately monitored and recorded.
- Balancing accounts and compliance with file closure procedures.
- Dealing with credit card transactions made at reception over the telephone.
- Answering the telephone and reading/sending emails to clients in a professional manner and dealing with enquiries.
