Accounts and Customer Service Administrator – Bewleys Tea and Coffee UK Ltd

This is new exciting role is an opportunity to work for Bewley’s, undertaking varied finance, customer service and administrative duties. You will be working with a hardworking and friendly team, reporting to the UK Credit Control Manager who have a legacy of retaining Apprentices after training.


Wage – £240.00 per week
Duration – 15 Months

Working Week:

Monday-Friday 8.30 – 5pm 40 hours (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

The role will include varied duties with the aim to develop and have more responsibility during your apprenticeship in the following areas:

  • Learning customer EDI systems from order through to customer payment
  • Maintaining detailed information of customer invoice status using Excel
  • Raising customer credits where necessary
  • Dealing with customer queries by email and telephone
  • Building relationships with customers to ensure smooth flow of customer transactions through to payment
  • Processing Staff and Credit Card Expenses
  • Recording and posting Credit Card Expenses onto the Purchase Ledger using Sage
  • Posting Employee Out of Pocket Expenses onto the Purchase Ledger
  • Contacting Carriers/Hauliers for Proof of Delivery
  • Take Credit Card Payments and Process
  • Sending copy invoices and credits by email to customers as required
  • Advising customers if orders are on hold
  • Sending customer statements
  • General administrative duties including correspondence by e-mail
  • Assisting Accountants and Office Manager with ad hoc duties
  • Responsible for post received and dispatched
  • To deal courteously and efficiently with all visitors
  • Answering the telephone in a professional manner and dealing with enquiries
  • Providing refreshments for visitors when required
  • Dealing with requests for information
  • Ensuring that the Policies of the company are observed, and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality

As part of your contract of employment completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme are as follows:

  • Attend and be punctual for all induction sessions
  • Attend and be punctual for all lessons with regards to your apprenticeship programme
  • Complete all required assignments with regards to your apprenticeship by the required timeline
  • Build up your portfolio of evidence on-going during your apprenticeship programme
  • Access support from your tutor/assessor as and when required
  • Access support from your manager with regards to any evidence requirements or support as and when required
  • Attend all work-based training/support sessions

Grade 4/C or above in Math’s and English or equivalent is required.
