Eleven lucky Hospitality and Catering students from Kirklees College were privileged to help Asparagus Green with VIP catering the Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1 Finish Location VIP Area in Doncaster.
Asparagus Green Catering Ltd run the Caphouse Café at the Yorkshire Mining Museum. Company director and founder Anthony Hegney said: “We’re excited and delighted to be providing the catering for such a great event for Yorkshire.”
He added “It was an amazing to have tutors Gary and Paul with the students on site, doing such a fantastic job – at such an amazing event for Yorkshire.
“It’s such an awesome experience for them, as it’s not a classroom situation – it’s a real life event and they don’t get much bigger than the Tour de Yorkshire.
“It was great to feed all the sponsors, partners and supporters of the Tour De Yorkshire, working alongside ASO who are the founders of the Tour De France”.
