Business Development and Training at Kirklees College

What you can expect from Kirklees College

We offer you:

We will arrange to conduct a free health and safety check before an apprentice is placed with you. As we have a 'duty of care' for the apprentices, this is a thorough check but we aim to make it as painless as possible. We recognise that most employers already have excellent practices and policies in place that comply with all of the relevant legislation.

We hate unnecessary bureaucracy as much as you do, so we make it our job to minimise the paperwork as much as possible. Most of the paperwork comes at the start when the employer first signs an apprentice up, comprising of a learning plan and various agreements. The employer, apprentice and college keep copies of these so everyone is clear about their commitments. If an employer cannot commit to the training and development of an apprentice, the college will not enter into a partnership.

For more information about apprenticeships please contact Mark Connolly on 01924 436204 Ext 2670.
