Business Development and Training at Kirklees College
Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding
Equality and Diversity
Kirklees College is committed to ensuring that the training opportunities it offers are designed to meet the needs of all those who are eligible for its services. In line with the Equality and Diversity Act 2010, together we must ensure that no applicant is discriminated against in terms of entry to, and progression within the sector, on any of the following grounds:
- Age;
- Disability;
- Gender reassignment;
- Marriage and civil partnership;
- Pregnancy;
- Race;
- Religion or belief;
- Sex or sexual orientation.
Safeguarding
The college is committed to its role in supporting its learners, staff, Kirklees Council and the communities it serves to provide protection for children and vulnerable adults.
The college has established a safeguarding policy and a framework of safeguarding co-ordinators to support implementation of the policy. This demonstrates our commitment to the practice of multi-agency working in the areas of child protection and with vulnerable adults. The business development and training team is the first point of contact for anyone who is concerned about the welfare of a child or adult.
All employers are expected to share our commitment to equality and diversity, and safeguarding.
