When will we move to the new Huddersfield Centre at the Waterfront Quarter?
The college will only move across to the new building when it is complete which will be during the 2012-13 academic year. We do not have a set date for the move at the moment, but will let you know as soon as we do, when we can expect to be in the fantastic new building.
In the meantime, all students at the current New North Road centre in Huddersfield will be given the opportunity to see the near-complete centre when we run a set of organised tours in the autumn.
Will the move affect my studies?
The delayed move will have no impact on students’ learning and they will continue to receive the high quality teaching standard we have come to recognise at Kirklees College. We recently announced that 95 per cent of students pass their course at Kirklees College and, in terms of achievement, places us fourth in England.
What is happening at the new building now?
Kirklees College is working closely with the site developers, Strategic Sites, who have overall responsibility for the delivery of the building, and we have agreed that the planned move will now be phased in later than scheduled.
