You will work towards an extended certificate in Vocational Studies, with choices of vocational pathwaysand have the opportunity to gain qualifications in English and maths.
A number of vocational options are available (dependent on centre), including catering, joinery and DIY, sport and leisure, health and social care, art and design, art and media, horticulture, business and IT.
You will take part in a range of activities to develop your employability and work related skills.
- You will need to indicate that you are working at least entry level 2 English.
- You will have an interview with the course tutor to make sure the course is right for you and to see if you have any additional support needs.
- You will need to bring your progress file with you.
- Foundation Learning course entry requirements include a minimum of Milestone 7/8.
You will have assignments and exams in English and maths.

Fees are payable for 19+ unless on a means tested benefit and eligible for a Kirklees Priority Passport, for example income support, JSA, housing benefit. Help may be available for students in financial difficulties. For more information, contact student support services, tel: 0500 162100.
