14-16 Courses at Kirklees College
Studying a 14-16 course is a great opportunity to develop new practical skills and increase your confidence.
You can choose from a range of subject areas and different qualification levels. Classes are smaller than those at school, usually with a maximum number of 14.
You'll study towards a quality vocational qualification, alongside the qualifications studied at school. Kirklees College gives you the chance to work in industry standard facilities, including workshops, salons and kitchens.
14-16 courses are offered at the college's Huddersfield and Dewsbury Centres. The courses are split into two categories:
School Links - a bespoke range of half day courses organised directly between Kirklees College and individual schools, subjects include beauty therapy, catering, construction crafts, fabrication and manufacture, hairdressing, ICT, motor vehicle, public services, sport and travel and tourism. Collegiate - a range of programmes arranged through Kirklees Collegiates in partnership with local school, colleges and work-based learning providers. We offer collegiate courses in animal care, catering, construction, engineering, fabrication, hair and beauty, health and social care, horse care, motor vehicle and photography.
